Some updates and Some Bragging

So two years is enough time between two posts or not? Like most adages there is another one 'Content is King'. I am non-blogging blogger. Maybe I am repeating my words from the last post but what is new in the world. Because I can't click portraits on my own maybe I could but I have my teams who make the models prim and proper and that reduces the time for post-processing. But the end result has still been the same for the last few weeks the camera is still in its bag and haven't shot anything at least on my camera and even very few photos with the phone. The computer has been down for months now because the part that is needed to fix it "Graphic Card" isn't a small investment.

The whole result of everything is that I am reading a lot especially since I finally got myself a tablet that led to me subscribing to Kindle Unlimited which led to me finally being able to read White Sands by Brandon Sanderson the physical version was extra costly and I got them and many more through the program and I am super excited to read many more books and series and finally started playing some games on my PS4 Pro and the inciting incident was, of course, some youtube videos and also my Brother-in-Law was visiting for a few days so some games were downloaded for him but then I started playing Assassin's Creed - Odyssey and this time I am playing as Alexios, I had played this game earlier on my PC for about 60 hours but now following build guides from an awesome YouTuber T7 PDM who is still making videos about this game and I love watching his videos and learning from them.

Another thing I finally finished the first book in the Stormlight Archives book "The Way of Kings" by Brandon Sanderson. This was as awesome as I had heard and as I expected it to be. I loved the book, I cried with the book, and I laughed but I am not going to jump over to Words of Radiance just yet because I have 67 books on my Currently Reading list and I am planning on reducing that number a bit before continuing with the series but I am a massive mood reader so don't be surprised if I start reading the book just after this post or another day or something like. Oh and I started the Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Diniman, I am currently in the middle of the second book in the series and this is a LitRPG series and it's fun to read this. I had read Solo Leveling first where something similar was the scenario but that was a Mahwa series and Dungeon Crawler Carl is a full-on novel and these are the first full-size books I have read on my tablet.

My idea while trying to get the tablet was to read mangas through different manga sites for which I have a subscription and I read a few books on the phone but the tablet is a whole different experience and I realized that the tablet is perfect for reading most of the graphic novels that I am getting from Kindle Unlimited. Ah well. enough writing for now and I am itching to read on my tablet because due to office and gaming, I wasn't able to read any book on it so time to start reading a new graphic novel to increase the Current-Read list number to 68 :D I am sure this is never going to clear all the way but no I am stopping here after all it's a new post after a long time. Maybe finally read these words.

Well, Hello There!!

Top post on IndiBlogger, the biggest community of Indian Bloggers

Well, Hello There, yes you, the person reading this, how are you doing? I am in limbo and just enjoying the fruits of others' labour and enjoying all the different kinds of media and a lot of wonderful stories. My last blog post here was last year on 20th March just before the lockdown, and so far the status quo has continued, and it looks like life is going to change in more than a few ways. During this time I have read fewer books than I would have read in a normal year as the bulk of my reading was done during my commute to and from the office and that is gone now.

I have finished many games, started playing more games on my PC rather than my PS4 Pro, discovered an entirely new type of games and enjoyed them so so much that I lost my sleep and appetite for about 2-3 weeks, I still enjoy those Visual Novel games but no longer play them for all the time.

I got a new Internet connection by Airtel and it's an Xtream fiber connection with speeds of 200 Mbps download and upload and it's unlimited to boot. I just love the connection before this I was using Den broadband for the longest of the times with 100 Mbps download speeds that were very good but the issue was that it had a FUP of 800 GB and then the upload speed was just 5 Mbps that wasn't enough for me as I still plan to continue my youtube channel.

Oh, yeah! in this lockdown period I also finally uploaded few videos to my youtube channel. But like most things, the last video was uploaded on 31st March last year and so far I still have to produce the next video. Along with laziness, there were few issues that were impacting the audio quality, hopefully, that has been fixed now and soon I would hopefully be able to upload more videos. And maybe talk about my books as well.

Oh Yeah! that's another thing that finally happened last year I am now a published author so that only e-books are available on the Amazon Kindle store but I have two books out now One is a collection of my short stories and another is a collection of Hindi Poems where I have 4 poems. Thanks to my best friend Alankar this dream has been completed.

Last year along with the multitudes of events and weddings had to be postponed due to the lockdown. One of these weddings was that of my sister who was supposed to get married in June but that had to be postponed to November but I couldn't join the wedding as I contacted COVID-19 just one week before the wedding.

Yup, I managed to get infected with COVID-19 and had to deal with 8 days of fever in a row but finally recovered and well continuing with the life now, I have spent most of the time since lockdown alone as wife and kid left just before the lockdown and then they were stuck there as the travel services were on hold.

Another hobby I picked up during last year is for Fountain Pens and I have collected many fountain pens and many-colored inks and enjoyed practicing writing again as most of the writing I do now is via keyboard and on the computer or the mobile phones. But haven't been able to practice for some time, but will be starting the practice again.

And that's it for now because I can keep on writing but should keep somethings for the next posts as well. Take care you all, Wash your hands, and wear a mask.

Life is Wonderful

If you know me you would know that I am a hoarder :) in mellow terms. If you want to be specific I am bookoholic and after a gap of many years I am back to being a gamer.

Yes!!!!!! after lusting about Playstation Consoles for close to 20 years I was finally able to get one and now I am proud owner of a brand new PS4 Pro console and it is marvellous.

My time is now wonderfully consumed by different quests or puzzles and I am happy to chase the exclusives which PS is famous for. Already finished "Heavy Rain" and "Beyond: Two Souls" and about to finish "Rise of Tomb Raider". I have already ordered the next phase of games out of which again two are exclusives. "The Last of Us - Remastered" The masterpiece now available for PS4 is as marvellous is ever just better. Then there are "Horizon - Zero Dawn" and "Injustice 2" both of which I should receive by tomorrow.

Life is wonderful and it is made all the more wonderful by my new bookhauls which I have yet to receive but it's Fanstasy heavy. I have finally ordered "Mistborn series" by Brandon Sanderson and I am giddy with enticipation. Though I am realistic that I won't be reading them right away but at least I have got them now. Books will be discussed in other post and details about them in my book blog - Keep on Reading so check it there in few days.

The Dream Library

As a reader I like nothing more than to read and to buy books and magazines. I just love the sight of my books placed neatly in their book cases waiting to be read or re-read. This week's Indi-spire topic allowed me to turn my mind up to 11 to dream up my perfect library.

I just love the smell of books be it new or old. But along with the physical books I also love the    e-books for the convenience they provide. I would ensure that both the areas are equally catered. I am pretty possessive about my books but that would not be the case with my library as people would be welcomed to enjoy the works of masters.

I would have rows and rows of book cases which would have all the books I could find and then some more. Books would be arranged by authors. The building itself would be at least 10 stories high. I have learned one thing after buying so many books and reading them that there are far more books than I can hope to read in my lifetime. But I would still love to have all the books I could manage to have. If only to preserve them.

On each floor there would be multiple reading nooks, reading spots by the window with the wonderful view outside the windows as many windows would have a different view set for them. Meaning I would have different style of garden set outside of window so that I or the reader could enjoy the view while reading. There would also be different type e-readers available on multiple locations on all the floors so that people can read.

There would be tablets and computers available on all the floors so assist people and me to search for the book I want and also to go online.

Now coming to the building, my library's every floor would be decorated differently. Each floor would have enough natural light to ensure that I am able to look for the books and read them without using too much electricity.

I could go on and on about my dream library but let's keep it short and stop my thoughts here itself. See you all in my library when the dream becomes a reality.
